About Us

Founded in 2006, DirectVoxx has evolved into a company serving two primary markets. The most visible side of our business is in fitting automotive head units with advanced mobile device connectivity, speech recognition and TTS technology. Much of the work we do will appear in-market years from now because the automotive lifecycle is long and complex. In a sense, when you visit our site and examine our technologies, you are getting a glimpse of what automotive electronics will provide in the future. For example, in 2013 you will be able to purchase a vehicle from a dealer which will ‘know’ what kind of mobile device you are using and determine what features will be presented on the car user interface. You will no longer need to purchase a navigation system for in-car use because your mobile device will project any number of navigation applications onto the car user interface. Media? No problem. Your car interface will be ‘smart’ enough to find all your media whether it resides on your phone or your home media center. These are features we are building into reference designs today which you will see at your auto dealer in a couple of years. And let’s not forget that controlling your automotive system will be as easy as talking to it thanks to advanced speech recognition quality and responsiveness.

The less visible side of our business is our advanced speech recognition and TTS practice. Serving the governmental and NGO community through our subsidiary, DirectVoxx Tactical Corp. (DVT), we are pleased that DVT serves to build bridges between peoples and cultures by permitting a means of communication where none previously existed.

We are proud of our technology and business accomplishments over the past four years and thank you for visiting our site. Please email us should you wish to obtain more information.
